Running - Simple, yet so powerful. Why running is a simple exercise that we can all benefit from.

Tomorrow’s challenge is to get active by…..walking or running.

“Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; Just never give up.”


Tomorrow we are challenging you to take 30 minutes of your day to walk or run. If you can run, you should, if walking is better for you then do that. If you decide you want to start running but don't know where to begin why not download a free couch to 5k app that allows you to slowly progress to a 5km run over a number of weeks.

Be it walking or running or a bit of both in your couch to 5k journey...commit to 30 minutes daily, this is a new tiny habit that you will be adding each day. For more on tiny habits check out the blog here.

When should you schedule this for your day? Well at a time that you can consistently commit to is our suggestion. Perhaps that is before work, during a lunch break or after work or in the evening. Everyone's schedule is different, so find what suits you. If you are really not sure, we recommend waking up 30 minutes earlier and going out first thing! Then there are no excuses that you run out of time in your day.

You can go alone and use it as a time to think or listen to music or you can invite a friend. If you invite a friend ensure you commit to this habit daily (well you might want to start small with 3 times per week, and build up to 6 days - remember a rest day is always important.)

Why do this you ask? Well here are some benefits for you:

  • increased muscle strength and endurance

  • reduced body fat.

So take action NOW and schedule your walk/run for tomorrow.
